Some photographers direct. Some disappear. I know when to do which. The best images happen when people forget there's a camera in the room. Getting there sometimes means stepping back. Sometimes it means taking charge. The experience I have helps me determine which one gets you the image you'll still feel something looking at twenty years from now.
