The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, so the season of giving is just about upon us. With the wintry-weather the Midwest is accustomed to, we can be sure to get some gorgeous scenery in our photos if we're brave enough to face the cold temperatures! Here are a few tips to get some awesome photographs with that beautiful snowy scene!

  1. Don't get your photos taken when the sun is at its brightest. While it's "doable," it will make for a challenge for your photographer who will have to constantly be manipulating their camera settings to make sure the lighting looks just right, which means everyone will have to be out in the cold longer. BRRR!

  2. Accessorize! Bring out those vibrant scarves, beanies, and coats. They will look GREAT against your scenic white backdrop.

  3. Bring the furry family members! Do your pets enjoy playing in the snow? This will be a great opportunity to get some fun shots of your furry family member in action. Just take care to keep an eye out for them in the cold temps. If you're too cold after a certain amount of time, they likely are too. Make sure you have an area nearby that is clear of snow to give their paws some relief from the cold snow.

What are you most looking forward to this holiday season? Let me know! And happy holidays!
